Le prix du panier de 13 bruts de l’OPEP, dont le pétrole algérien, a atteint son plus haut niveau depuis plus de 8 mois, s’élevant en fin de la semaine écoulée à plus de 48 dollars le baril, selon le Secrétariat de l’Opep.
« Le prix du panier de référence de l’OPEP de bruts (ORB) s’élevait à 48,35 dollars vendredi contre 47,46 dollars la veille (jeudi dernier) », a précisé ce lundi, l’Organisation des pays exportateurs du pétrole sur son site web.
Il s’agit de son plus haut niveau depuis près de neuf mois, soutenu par le consensus des membres de l’Opep et ses alliés sur une augmentation graduelle de leur production d’or noir à partir de janvier prochain.
L’ORB est composé également du Girassol (Angola), Djeno (Congo), Zafiro (Equatorial Guinée), Rabi Light (Gabon), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Koweït), Es Sider (Libye), Bonny Light (Nigéria), Arab Light (Arabie saoudite), Murban (EAU) et du Merey (Venezuela).
Il avait baissé en début de la crise de la Covid-19 en mars dernier de 21,61 dollars, ou 38,9%, pour s’établir à 33,92 dollars le baril, ce qui représentait la plus forte baisse mensuelle depuis octobre 2008 et la valeur mensuelle la plus faible depuis septembre 2003 .
Et c’est en fin novembre dernier que le brut de l’Opep a connu une amélioration, soutenu notamment par les annonces relatives au développement d’un vaccin efficace contre la Covid- 19 .
