Le ministre de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche scientifique, Abdelbaki Benziane a affirmé dimanche dernier, que son département prendra les mesures nécessaires afin que des incidents similaires à l’explosion qui a eu lieu, samedi dernier, et qui a coûté la vie d’une étudiante à la cité universitaire à « Ouled Fayet 2 » à Alger, ne se reproduisent plus.
Le ministre a déploré, en marge de sa visite qu’il a effectuée à l’Université des sciences et de la technologie d’Oran (USTO), l’incident de l’université d’Alger qu’il a qualifié de « tragique », tout en exprimant sa solidarité avec la famille du l’étudiante.
Il a assuré que « des mesures seront prises dans le cas où les résultats de l’enquête révèlent un quelconque manquement », soulignant que le travail de la commission chargé du projet de la réforme des œuvres universitaires, tire à sa fin et sera remis au président de la République et au Premier ministre.
Dans le même sillage, M. Benziane a indiqué que son ministère avait pris une série de mesures afin d’améliorer la gouvernance des œuvres sociales, faisant observer qu’il a été opéré, dans ce cadre, des changements au niveau de quelques responsables des œuvres universitaires à travers le pays.
En ce qui concerne des mouvements de protestations récentes menées par les étudiants-doctorants, le ministre a affirmé que « les portes demeurent ouvertes devant eux et devant l’ensemble des étudiants » et qu’il « répond personnellement aux préoccupations des étudiants par son adresse électronique.
